Tom Martin holds a PhD in Molecular Biophysics from the University of Virginia, and a master's degree in History and Philosophy of Science from the University of Pittsburgh. He is former Chief Scientific Officer of Diffusion Pharmaceuticals (a Virginia biotech company), and has published articles in Structure and Nature Structural Biology. He is currently collaborating on a semi-popular "natural history" of biological molecules.
