Dr. John Parker joined the Honors College in 2006. He holds a B.S. in Sociology from Northern Arizona University, and M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Sociology from Arizona State University. He specializes in the sociology of science, technology and work, and the majority of his research explores social and technical aspects of scientific collaborations. His most recent projects examine scientific/intellectual social movements as agents of change in science, the functioning of interdisciplinary organizational and research group collaborations, and the roles played by emotions and affective relationships in the production of scientific knowledge.
