Become a Barrett Community Assistant
The Barrett residences halls are a place to meet fellow honors students, develop friendships, and experience college life! Community Assistants (CA’s) at ASU, play a vital role in providing meaningful academic, social and personal growth opportunities for incoming freshman honors students living in the Barrett community. Barrett Community Assistants are qualified and experienced honors students who live on every floor, section or wing throughout the residence halls. They assist students with their transition to college by serving as mentors and friends during the academic year. They organize hall meetings and activities, inform residents of events taking place within the campus community and create a special bond and a sense of belonging for students. Community Assistants are dedicated and enthusiastic about being an important part in the transition to everyday student life. They meet with the Assistant Dean for Student Services and other Student Services staff in Barrett to coordinate event programming that builds community and complements signature college events. We encourage all sophomore and junior Barrett students to consider applying to be a Community Assistant.
