The Barrett Honors College is offering a number of partial scholarships to support participants in its summer study abroad programs. Scholarships may be applied only to Barrett programs. To apply, you must be a Barrett student in good standing. Before applying, you must first register in one of the Barrett Summer Study Abroad programs. The registration process includes a $400 nonrefundable deposit.
The Barrett scholarship applications will be evaluated on the basis of financial need and scholarly merit. Financial need will be determined by the ASU Financial Assistance Office (file or update your FAFSA). Scholarly merit will be determined by the quality of the application.
Directions for Applying:
You must submit the following:
1) A transcript (official or unofficial).
2) A resume
3) One letter of recommendation from a university faculty member holding a doctorate or other terminal degree (i.e., not teaching assistants or graduate instructors). The student must collect the letter of recommendation in a sealed envelope with the recommender’s signature across the seal. Recommendation letters not in a sealed, signed envelope will not be accepted.
4) A completed BHC Summer Study Abroad Scholarship Cover Sheet, attached to the front of your materials. All the scholarship application materials (including the sealed letters of recommendation) should then be placed in a single large envelope with your name on it.
Complete application packets should be addressed to BHC Summer Study Abroad Scholarship Committee and either delivered to the reception desk (Irish A 121) or mailed to:
