The Barrett Urban Experience
- 8/18/2008
The Barrett Urban Experience is a three-day introduction to Phoenix’s urban core. Participants will learn what makes urban environments unique and about the exciting developments currently taking place in Phoenix. Participants view the city through varied lenses – political, economic, social, cultural, and aesthetic – and consider innovative means for enhancing quality of place and life in the contemporary metropolis. The experience is hands-on, including lectures and classroom experiences, guest speakers (planners, journalists, and researchers) and visits to the places that make Phoenix unique.

Here’s just a sampling of what to expect!
